If you are like me you use glass slides with the build plate of your 3D printer. I oftentimes find it easier to slide glass plates in and out than having to clean and maintain the stock kapton and blue printers tape that come with my CTC 3D printer. At first, I was just setting my glass plates aside but then I thought why not have something where I can hold the glass plates on either side of my 3D printer. It would then be easier to swap them out for each print. They would also act as a small cover or barrier against any draft or gust for those sides.Just print the STL on it's side using your material of choice. Print 4 copies (2 for each side of your 3D printer). Once made, the slide holder has a small overhang on one side that is designed to hook onto either side of the 3D printer build chamber. My settings when I print this "thing": Infill: 20% Shells: 2 Layer Height: .20mm No support needed (use rafts optionally) As with the MMC Holder that I designed (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:316472), I made this for my CTC printer with the hopes that it can also be used with Makerbot or clones that make use of wooden chassis. If anyone can confirm that this will also work on the newer Makerbots or clones with aluminum enclosures I would greatly appreciate it if you make a comment.
