This is Tom. - recorded with a M$ kinect, postproduction meshlab, netfabb. gcode by SFACT. printet on a shapercubeSo here are the details.the kinect is connected to a linux system using libfreenectthe opensource Kinect Fusion (KinFu) implementation by pcl is used -> http://pointclouds.org/news/kinectfusion-open-source.htmlthe hard part: PCLs KinFu runs with CUDA supported by a Nvidia Tesla C2050 (not a usual household graphicscard)the pointcloud postprocessing is done with meshlab, have a look on one of the many howtos you will find regarding meshlab and solid modeling eg. -> http://edutechwiki.unige.ch/en/Meshlab_for_RapMan_tutorialfor alignment and scaling i use NetFabb because its easy to handel dimensions and position -> http://netfabb.com/The example is about 10cm high, and can stand for its own. Atm the foodprint is very small so it is tricky to print. I'll send updates when the 175mm tall print is done .)
