I was recently changing out the floor plate on a G26 magazine (adding a floor plate that offered a grip extension). Lost my hold on the magazine while adding the new floor plate and the magazine spring launched the magazine insert (the small plate upon which magazine spring rests and also locks the floor plate in place), seemingly into the depths of space. Couldn't find the original insert anywhere, so I designed and printed a pretty good facsimile of a replica of the original part. ;) Functionality issues solved! Joy. :)Designed and modeled using a Brother all-in one printer (to scan the basic magazine well geometry), calipers and AutoCAD. I suggest printing in ABS with 100% infill.
