Dataset converted to STL using Meshlab. Then the STL was manipulated using a few tools created by Netfabb (AlexanderOster) so I'll let him give his tutorial first... I chose the shark since I'm fascinated by the streamlining of these creatures. The body and fins also seemed an easy print. I was wrong - it took several attempts to print successfully. I think some fins were actually torn off as the support was removed, but the essence of the shark is there.Definitely print with support. I may have overdone the supports in this print, but they kept tearing away mid print. I used Slic3r with a raft and the brim function to keep the supports from tearing loose.
