I decided it was time to get rid of the all steel barrel in my hot end so it would be more reliable with PLA and I wanted to try the new flexible rubber like materials and the new Recreus hot end looked to be a relatively easy mod to make to my "UP Plus Pro"The mount bar, 13DP1001-00 should be machined in aluminum. The Plastic parts should be printed with as close to solid as you can. The Recreus hot end can be purchased here: http://recreus.com/hotends/23upgrade-175mm-hot-end-.html# You will need to bore to a larger diameter the hole for the existing UP temp sensor. I had to cut 1 fin from the heat sink to fit the space available but it does not seem to effect function in any way. This mod uses my previous parts: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16711 I forgot to include the file "11-DP1002-00" the extruder backbone, it will space the plastic off the face of the extruder motor 0.600mm and help insulate the incoming plastic from the heat of the stepper motor, this means you may have to pull the sharp toothed gear a few mm's away from the face of the motor to keep the filament centered in the teeth.
