UPDATE. Now will work with any thickness material, just edit scad file. Simple and sturdy. Takes reasonably large dice. Can be made out of acrylic or plywood. ~3mm cardboard works great too. Completed design will be decorated with Battletech tables engravings. Tower shown in pictures is a full size mockup, it will be remade from acrylic when design is fully complete. My acrylic turned out to be 0.11" rather than 0.13, so I just redesigned it in OpenSCAD to make it parametric. New files - 007 - scad version - lets you to choose your material thickness and then export to svg or dxf. (to avoid scaling issues save as dxf and then follow an old instruction below) 008 - my design ready to cut with 0.11" acrylic. 009 - same as 008 but in svg so you can tinker with it. Instructions below are outdated. Included are 3 files: dwg was made in DraftSight and is the source file for the project; dxf was saved as intermediate to be opened with Inkscape; pdf is ready to lasercut with Epilog Mini 24 laser (assuming you are okay with plain design).
