Inspired by WeeMadSausage's HD Woodgrain version of the mask (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:686111), I wanted to try my hand at an old metal texture for full size printing and then cold casting with bronze. I have not yet printed this thing. The folded version will fit on a 200mm x 200mm print bed. Thing will likely need support for the two upper horns. UPDATE: I started this print, but canceled about 2 hours in. I found two issues, and am unhappy with the results. 1.) The wall thickness is just too thin at full scale, and has a 'flimsy' feel to it. I had previously printed "Majoras Mask HD model with Woodgrain" at 300% (my print can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/make:140683) and was very pleased with the wall thickness that WeeMadSausage had used. The final print had a perfect thickness, and felt like it was carved out of a block of wood. Since my version will be "metal", I'm shooting for a wall thickness of somewhere between the current size, and the HD woodgrain version. 2.) The scratches, chips and other metal damage just aren't deep enough to be pronounced on the final print. I want to make them deeper, but not so much as what is on the HD wood version. The horns/teeth need damage as well. Also need to be a bit more aggressive with the overall hammered/ping look. I do not recommend printing this thing until I correct the two issues. I do have the base model for version 2 complete (you can download it without damage here http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:878986). Addresses the issues for #1 above. Preview images have been uploaded. Now I just need to add the damage, and then slice the mask for easy printing. I plan to cut the mask in half (folded) as shown in version 1. Will also remove the horns/teeth (not really sure what those are, lol). These will just pop back into the sockets for assembly. Stay tuned....UPDATE: I started this print, but canceled about 2 hours in. I found two issues, and am unhappy with the results. 1.)
