This is inspired by a recent post showing how you could use a credit or membership card as an earbud holder. ( www.unplggd.com/unplggd/turn-old-credit-cards-into-earbud-holders-146446 )I loved the concept, but felt the design could be improved. This design significantly reduces the time it takes to wrap and unwrap. You wrap the long way, and the over-wrap locks things in quickly. The big speed improvement though, is on removal. As soon and you remove the over-wrap the entire cord bundle just slides off.As an afterthought, I noticed that there's a nice area for business card-y stuffThere's two ways you could make this thing:Option #1: Print out the attached SVG and tape it to a card, then cut along the guide lines. If you have a drill you can use it on the cross-hairs to get a more finished look in the round spots.I put a shipping label on mine to show how this would look as a business card. It doesn't look all that professional though. If you actually want to make a business card, Option 2 makes more sense.Option #2: If you want to make a professional looking business card, get this thing laser-cut. The engraving and guides are on separate layers in the SVG, so just change the text and you should be ready to cut.
