If you have this coffee machine: http://www.philips.de/c-p/HD8844_01/4000-series-kaffeevollautomat, you will find that the coffe nozzles are a bit high and the coffee splashes while pouring in a normal espresso cup. It annoyed me enough to design a pedestal that you insert where the metal grille should be and simply put the grille on top. Pictures should explain better. It is high enough for a normal espresso cup with the nozzles extended and low enough for a normal latte cup with the nozzles retracted. You should print this with black PLA and with medium layer height (I used 0.25mm), it matches the coffee machine beautifully. No supports needed. IMPORTANT: The tolerances are tight, so please scale the model according to the shrinkage of your material/precision of your printer. The model is designed with true dimensions and I found I had to scale it up by 0.5mm on my Craftbot with normal black PLA. Scaling is best done like this: Start printing the model and leave it until the height is about 3-5mm. Stop printing and try to insert the part into the grille pedestal. Check if it fits really snugly, there should be no wiggle room or the top won't fit later. Scale as needed and retry. Once a snug fit is achieved, just retry the print and let it finish.
