The makerbot finally printed me some glasses!I decided to start out with some nice thick frames inspired primarily by Cory Doctorow and Bre Pettis, though I have plans for a lot more styles and shapes. As for practicality... I honestly wasn't expecting these to be comfortable but they actually are. They're really light and after a while I forget I'm even wearing them. I can even wear them over my normal glasses. PLUS major geek bonus points for wearing GLASSES YOU PRINTED YOURSELF.I subdivided the glasses into 7 parts (there's a picture below with labels on all the parts). All you need to do is print one of each. Glue a couple together and stick part of a paper clip through the hinges. They fit my face pretty much perfectly. Let me know if people need the back pieces longer/shorter and that can definitely be done easily.
