Hey guys, (this is the positive version of my original negative) When my motor blew last year i had some spare time on my hands, whilst waiting for my new motor and various parts, I made GT centre caps for my wheels! I had alot of fun with this, had a mate saying it would just melt, but he has no idea on 3d printing, or materials, and its been 9months now...still going strong...PLA has held up against the heat, brake dust and the elements, they still look great. Sketchup file is provided for those wishing to refine the design further, and adjusting size for your particular centre cap sizing.. I printed a couple out in glow in the dark filament too, just for fun, never actually installed them.printed in PLA (stands up to the task well surprisingly) dont remember the layer height, somewhere round the 200micron mark i believe. secure to centre cap wit some form of RTV silicon, or sumthing alike.
