An evolution of another fanduct I previously made for my SmartrapCore printer. This one reduces the angle of the fanduct to improve the air flow, by being set above the Zsensor's ring instead of below. This also may have the advantage of reducing the risk of collision with other parts of the printer that it might encounter during auto-level (like, in my case, the RPI camera mount I also designed : http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:678010). I also made a cleaner air exit, and as the global shape is more vertical, it should be easier to print. An inconvenient might be that, being set above Zsensor's ring, it can't be adjusted at a lower height if needed, in case your hotend is lower than mine. Although if it's really lower (by 8mm or more), then by putting this one under the sensor's ring you'll be really fine. :) Anyway, for my installation, this fanduct is the best one I ever used, so I guess I'm gonna call it a keeper. Edit : I'm very proud for having learned that this fanduct is now officially a part of the SmartrapCore (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:651117) 3D printer by SmartFriendz. :)Warning : if you have a top-front horizontal wood piece on your SmartrapCore, you should be careful with this fanduct : it's possible it's goind to collide with the wood piece on the first homing movements, and much probably the wood piece will be the winner of that fight! ;)IMPORTANT : this fanduct is designed to be installed on the SmartrapCore's lowered fan/hotend/Zsensor support. Either the one included in V.1.02 of the official printer's parts, or the one I designed that you can get there : http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:819559 You'll need a 40mm fan, 4 M3x16 screws and 4 M3 nuts to put the fan on the duct, and the fanduct itself will be set in place by tightening it with the Z induction device, if you're using the new support with a lowered ring. It's possible, depending on your hot end size, that the fanduct won't be low enough. Try putting it UNDER the Z-sensor's ring instead, if the distance is more than 8mm. Plug your fan to the D9 connectors on your RAMPS, so that it will be turned on/off and at the right speed by the G-code. Happy fan-cooling! :)
