I have a shelf above my workspace and thought that I could hang the spools from that. For the small spools that come with my Micro3D printer they work very well.The rod is an M4 or 3/16" flat head screw. I use a finishing washer on the head end and a nylon insert wingnut on the other. The nylon insert lets you adjust the tension on the reel so it isn't too tight or loose.
