A base object to use in constructing a hexagonal oriented surface. The basic idea is to allow quick layout of arbitrary (hex-based) floor plans with a provision for walls and other objects. This is primarily useful for roleplaying games that use hex grids as the basis for combat. The corner holes allow the secure placement of walls or other fixtures. The STL files are just included for completeness as I've never gotten them to print. Because the item was developed in stages I've left some of the early files up as they might make a better basis for another effort. There are two basic variations: plain meshes and ones that have had a fillet applied. The fillet helps with removal from the build plate and fitting during use. The mk6a is the current model with a fillet and, most importantly, is correctly sized so it can just be loaded and printed, the mk3 is a plain mesh. Differences between the mk3 and mk5 include the corner holes and improved interlock. Printed in PLA on a replicator2, default medium with Y dimension set to 32mm (just slightly more than one inch hexes). A print of two took 28m, a print of twelve took 73m.
