This is an aluminum plate that mounts on Greg's x-carriage. This could be made out of a lot of materials, but I milled this one out of 6061 .25" plate on a CNC mill. Using aluminum makes it act like a heatsink as well as a mounting plate, and keeps the top of the groovemount nice and cool, avoiding issues with melting extruder bodies (you folks making em out of PLA, imma look at you).Be sure to get the groove TAB exactly 4.64 mm thick, as it will be either wobbly or impossible to assemble if it is too small or too big.I am including only the dxf because there are plenty of plastic ones out there, and the heatsinking is the whole reason I made it.
