Tired of having to pass blame using your own finger? Can't afford to hire someone to do it for you? Then the Finger Pointer is for you! Video of blame being assigned at "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3ENePYE1dg". I saw this somewhere but cannot remember where, or who was the original creator, but this is my PLA rendition of the original idea. Finger Pointer was designed using Sketchup 8, and printed on a Replicator 2 in PLA, using Makerware. UPDATE 1: Uploaded the Sketchup 8 .stl files for the base and lift, and an exploded assembly. If this doesn't help assembling this thing, please feel free to comment and I'll do my best to solve any problems. I'm very sorry for the problems that you've experienced with this thing. The Finger Pointer can be built to be hand cranked or electrically animated. If your Finger Pointer will be electrically animated, then: 1) Purchase the motor "6VDC 45 RPM Pinky Finger Sized Gear Motor 1" Long x 15/32" x 3/8"" from either amazon.com or directly from http://sciplus.com/p/MICROMOTOR_47952 (this is the same motor I used in the "Marbelvator" design), a coaxial power jack (I used Radio Shack part number 274-1583), and a 6vdc power supply with the appropriate connector to fit the coaxial power jack (I used Radio Shack part number 273-316). 2) Print "Base.stl". Solder wires to motor plus and minus terminals. Slide motor into "Base.stl". Mount coaxial power jack on "Base.stl". Solder motor wires to the coaxial power jack; plus to "center" pin, and minus to "shell" pin. For both hand cranked and electrical animated versions, print the remaining parts and assemble them according to "Assembly.skp". A vise comes in handy to carefully press the components onto "Crank.stl". Some light sanding of "Crank.stl" may ease the force required. After assembly, apply a small drop of light machine oil on the inside of "Guide.stl". Using 60 grit sandpaper, roughen the circumference of both "Eccentric.stl". Place on desk, pointing AWAY from you, then hand crank or plug it in and blame away to your hearts content!
