A topographical map of NYC based on the 1/3 arc second NED data from the USGS. Generated with a custom app available at https://github.com/kylemcdonald/Makerbot/tree/master/NedToStlWhen I printed this, I inserted an M1 command into the gcode where I wanted to change the color. This gave me time to pull out the white and push in some black.Right now the base is only one layer thick, but you might consider pulling the bottom down a bit to fix that.I used a lot of shells and 100% infill to print this.
