I designed this chip guard for my Harbor Freight 7x12 mini lathe. This can be made with ABS or PLA without any problems. It's not under any operating stress while the lathe is in use. Enjoy!Remove your carriage assembly. Slip on the chip guard. Drill and tap the mounting holes.using the chip guard as a template. Clean everything and apply a light coat of grease to the gears before re-assembly. I used a pair of M4-0.75 screws.
