I was looking for a relatively small sun screen for my outdoor temperature sensors but did not find anyone that I liked. I primarily use 1-wire (DS18B20) sensors but any small sensor that will fit would work. After testing multiple ideas I ended up designing one that could be printed in fewer separate parts than others. The main screen is printed as one object and the mount as another one. I will complement the design with more mounting options later. Note: I have designed a larger version that i'm going to compare to the smaller one. There might be too much heat-buildup in the smaller version.I would recommend printing the screen with 100% fill and the mount with less (like 20-50%). White color filament is needed to get as little heat-up from the sun as possible. The sensor could either be glued or striped into position with a cable tie. The efficiency of the screen has not yet been verified, if you have done any analysis, please keep me posted!
