If you're a coffee aficionado like I am, you may have run into the problem where a coffee filter cone or AeroPress won't sit securely on your large coffee cup. This complicates making coffee and led to wasted coffee and nearly getting burned when something tipped over at the wrong time. Print out this coffee cup shim and get a dead simple adapter that will make your coffee gear stable! If this coffee shim makes your life easier, you should send me some awesome coffee beans! :) Idea by Aleta Dunne, my lovely wife! The STL file is set up so that both an AeroPress and a Hario V60 dripper will fit into the coffee cup shim. A Melitta plastic filter cone also fits, so I suspect that quite a bit of coffee gear should fit by default. If you would like to customize the shim for your own gear, you'll need to have OpenSCAD installed. Open the coffee-cup-shim.scad in OpenSCAD and follow the instructions in the file. Hit F6 to generate the new model and then export to an STL file to print.
