A flange for mounting 100mm air conditioning ducting.Used on the window mounted exhaust panel of my fume cabinet for my RepRap Prusa Mendel. (Short description: youtube.com/watch?v=YKh6kgO77Us)The A/C ducting is standard 100mm ducting, as used in range hoods and bathroom extraction fans. Flange Dimensions: 110mm x 110mm x 55mm highMounting Hardware: 4x Diameter 4.5mm countersunk holes provided on a 92mm square pitch. The holes were designed to take some brass wood screws that I had lying around. Exit Aperture: You need at least a 98mm hole. Be careful if you make the panel the exact width of the flange like I did in the attached picture. This doesn't leave you with much material on either side of the hole. I cut my wood in a basic grill pattern to leave some more material there. Usage: Print flange, cut hole in panel, screw down flange, slide ducting over the lip on the end, enjoy the fresh air. Printed with: 0.3mm layer height 3 perimeters, this allowed a solid printed cylindrical section 3 solid layers 25% infillYou can reduce the layer height, however it will increase the print time.
