Turn your 3d printer in a beautiful 2d sketcher. With this support you can draw with pen or pencil (not recomended) on sheet in a very precise way! I hope you likeWhat do you need: 2x M3 nut 1x M4x20 screw with flat head 1x M4 wing nut In order to do correct gcode to draw, instead print in 3d, I perform these steps: 1) Select the silhouette I'm interested in and import it in Illustrator 2) Auto tracing the edge and export in DWG ALTERNATIVE: could be to do this step manually, tracing the contours in autocad or in a vector software you like/have. 3) Import in solidworks DWG and set a very thin thickness (< 0.2mm) and export the STL ALTERNATIVE: you can do this directly in autocad 4) import STL in slic3r (i'm using slic3r but you can do in the software you like) taking care of the following settings: 5) Place on the printing bed a thick sheet, latex or a dozen stacked sheets, and above the sheet you want to use to "draw" 6) Make sure to REMOVE filament from extruder and feeder 7) Set the Z zero point 0.8mm - 1mm below the shet level. More than this height will be high, more the trait will be pronounced 8) PRINT! I don't suggest to use pencil because because in some decimetre the tip is consumed. If the pen doesn't write, before printing it is best to rub a piece of paper under the tip to spin the ball and get out the ink. There're two STLs, one is for hexagonal staedler pen/pencil and the other one is for nibs or round pen. ENJOY!
