In the early 20th century tree trunks and stumps were a popular grave marker sculpture form. They could be customized with accessories and imagery to give a visual shorthand about the person they were created for. In this case, a 9-year old girl, with her straw hat and footwear at the base of a young tree that has been cut before it achieved maturity. I took multiple photos in RAW format with my Nikon, processed them in Adobe Lightroom to 16-bit TIFF, then masked them and saved the masks as PNGs. I then imported both the TIFFs and PNGs into Agisoft Photoscan Pro and sat back (seriously, on a 2012 i7 Macbook with only 8 gigs of RAM, it took about 16 hours!). There is still some digital noise here and there on the model so if you want to print it, you might want to clean it up a little bit with the editor of your choice.
