I was intrigued by the the multitude of shapes and shear complexity of a natural snowflake as photographed using an electron microscope. Thus, I decided to try my hand at a childhood favorite; making a snowflake for the holidays. I used only the natural angles created my water crystals that are tetrahedrally bonded to form this snowflake.
Print and be merry. Happy holidays.This model is intended to be produced using full external supports, with the extra boundary layers set to zero.
For best results print at a slower feed rate as the print is quite intricate.
I also recommend making sure you clean your print bed before printing to insure good adherence of your print material.
Then print using your filament of choice.
And then to finish the ornament you can pass a ribbon or fiber through one of the three provided through holes.
