Our son had a couple painful accidents on the ends of our wood futon. I designed these end caps to be built with low infill so that they can also collapse and hopefully minimize damage. They are not customizable but I included the solidworks source files in case you want to modify for your own purposes. Please note: These have not been formally certified or tested so do not have any expectations about the level of formal protection from this design. If you think it will work for you use it, if you want something certified ... good luck finding it. My hypothesis is that if you have lower infill setting, the part will collapse with moderate impact and minimize the damage but you need to find a setting that works for you.
