This is a derivative of the Artillery Mech by CloakMonkey in the sketchup 3d warehouse. http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=7c0c917fccdbf59dca1d70eb62434793&prevstart=0This is the first model in my all printed warmachine army. I got the model from the sketchup warehouse. The first print was all in one piece. It came out reasonably well (it's the smaller one in the pictures). I divided it up so I could print it without supports and I think it came out much better. Eventually I'll get around to making it custom weapons and other bits but that's probably after I do the rest of the army.I probably went a bit over board in the divisions but I really wanted to print it without supports. Hot glue, despite being a sin against modeling, puts it together pretty trivially easy so I’m not concerned about the over division. It's difficult to get it to slice correctly. Slic3r wouldn't come out right which was part of my main goal in moving away from supports. SFACT sliced it fine even if it complained a lot.Summary of changes from the original 3d warehouse model:Print and assemble. When I make some to paint I'll also pin all the joints as they aren't very secure as is.The model in parts is ~72mm tall to the guns and ~62mm to the top of the head.
