This is a high resolution model of the asteroid Vesta based on the official NASA shape model derived from the DAWN mission data. As you can see, it is of much higher quality than the initial model I posted based on orbital image point cloud generation(http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:12668). The NASA model is posted here: http://dawn.jpl.nasa.gov/. I used Meshlab quad decimation to reduce the file size and clean it up a bit. Prints quite well in a reasonable time with 0.25 layer thickness and 5% infill with raft and exterior support using gray ABS.
