Designed as an Electronics or Engineering project for a Senior High School student, this combines 3D printing, circuit board manufacture, surface mount soldering and optional Bluetooth communications to create a simple and solid mini-sumo robot. The circuit board files are for DesignSpark PCB. The Bluetooth Test code will work with the Android App "BlueBots". It can also be programmed to use a TV infra-red remote control or run autonomously. This project does work... I've supervised the construction of a couple dozen so far. You may need to create a mold for casting the urethane tires to get a perfect fitting tire. Further documentation is included in the attached files. The "BCIT TTED" imprint on the back of the robot refers to the British Columbia Institue of Technology's "Technology Teacher Education" program. We have been preparing technology (aka "shop") teachers to teach metalwork, woodwork, drafting, mechanics and electronics to high school students for the past fifty years. I wonder if our grads from the '60's ever saw this coming!
