Workstation: Easily change your filament, keep it stored ready for use, dry, warm and untangled. Wooden (MDF) cabinet with heater consisting of 2 resistors, fuse and a thermostat. Added a dehumidifier. Filament ready on 10mm rods with (nylon) bearings. Feed through for 11 filaments on the left AND 11 on the right side (holes) with holding system. Total feed of 38 filaments simultaneously readily available. Humidity and dual temperature (in- &outside temp) in cabinet.Build a cabinet from high density MDF, mine is 80cm wide and 155cm high (including 4 wheels) - but you can choose the dimensions you like best. Add perspex doors, add a divider in the lower cupboard section - this will hold your filament. Print the M10 rod holders, and door stop. Just look at the pictures, and I'm sure you can build a (better) version of what I did. The heater is made of 2 5W resistors on an old heat-sink I had lying around. The dehumidifier was bought from Conrad, brand: Eva Dry. Print the 10x10x25 washer in Nylon, mount it in the spool-bearing and on the 10mm rods - I advise to buy rods without a thread (10mm Smooth rod) to avoid your spools from traveling up or down the rod ;-) See http://reprapworld.com/?products_details&products_id=401&cPath=1655 I've cut a piece of perspex to cover the front of the printer, which is hold down by a magnet (the perspex sits on the center nut). You can see this on the left in one of the pictures. Print the left and right filament through / holders and use a router to mount them on / through the top of the cabinet. I've added another 8 holes round 19mm drill through thing, just to allow more filaments choices readily available from the top.
