Chess board for my http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:230724. The Tiles are 43x43mm. For normal 3D Printers (I'm sure someone could make a dual extrusion version of this, but I don't know how and don't need it).WARNING: I have not jet printed this! I need to make some changes to my printer before i can (new better printbed, 24V heatbed upgrade). Therefore I cannot guarantee that all the parts fit perfecty! You need min. 200x200mm build plate! Settings for Printer K8200: I used these settings for the tiles: Layer hight: 0.3 (lowres) 25% infill Top/bottom layer infill: concentric Fill pattern: concentric Solid layers: Top: 3 Bottom:1 By using only one solid layer on the bottom I reduced the amount of filament needed drastically. Yes that and the concentric infill makes the tiles slightly unstable, but they are made to fit into the chess board (which gives the needed stability)and also will never need to take much strain. Settings for the Board: I haven't printed it yet, but I'm going to use: Layer hight: 0.3 (lowres) 25% infill Top/bottom layer infill: concentric Fill pattern: honeycomb Solid layers: Top: 3 Bottom:3 The board gives the tiles stability, and therefore needs to be stronger.
