It's a smart, open source, coil winder! I made Coil bot because I had a need (still do!) for well wound electromagnetic coils, without having to spend forever winding them by hand. It's still a large work in progress and the code has some functions not yet working and plenty of bugs. I would not recommend trying to build one from this design but rather use it as a reference to your own. Some things to keep in mind if you are going to be building a coil winder are wire tension and spool mounting. This design does not have a proper system for mounting empty spools. My website has an image of a V2 concept that addresses this issue using two triangular clamps that fit into the center hole of an empty spool. This design also does not address wire tension.
