Device to attach to an "innie" type of colostomy (not the kind that stick out). My attempt to make something that is cheaper and a temporary stop-gap type device as sometimes my cycle of ordering the devices has issues. You will need a plastic bag, I am using a zip-lock style sandwitch bag as the plastic is a bit thicker than that used in cheaper bags.I am using a rubber band to hold the bag into the device's groove, but you might also be able to use long twist-tie.I am using standard foam mounting tape as I discovered it does stick well to my skin. Use at your own risk! Everyone will have different things that they are allergic to and I caution you to attempt to see if the adhesive will harm you by first trying a small piece attached to the back of the hand for a while. I've found the tape will stick to me for about a day.I place a long strip at the bottom, then two strips along the sides, then fill in the top. You want to try to get the strips as close as possible to each other. Make sure you mount with the vent tube in the UP position. If you are concerned about the smell you might try to use a toothpick or nail to temporarily block the vent tube.
