Very simple mod of garyacrowellsr Fan guard that allows you to use 5trange0ne fan mount so you can have two fans for cooling PLA on the Replicator. Print this fan guard out and then go over to http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28735 and print out the base and fan mount. Then you can mount 2 40mm fans on your Replicator.If you haven't heard in the version 6 firmware they added a filament fan option to the front panel and you can turn off the HBP too. The filament fan option turns on/off a 24 volt output on the motherboard on the "Extra output"I want to consider this a 1st gen idea. Its difficult to mount to the sides of the extruders or back or it will run into the frame and if you go to high up you will run into the front so there is very few options for mounting on the replicator. This design lets the fan mount on the front and not bump into anything. But be warned if you have a cover on your Replicator it will run into the front, so don't have the front on when using this fan mount. My plan is to make a new fan mount to help bring it closer to the build area but its a good start.I used 2 - 12v 40mm fans and wired them in series so they would run just fine on the 24V supplied.
