This is a variable length and ring AR printable form of a chainmaille weave coined Jens Pinds Linkage. More information on the weave itself can be found here: http://www.mailleartisans.org/weaves/weavedisplay.php?key=335 The math for this one was interesting, as the changing ARs cause the angles to change. It turned into a very interesting parametric geometry problem after identifying that the angle needed to be changed depending on the AR.Open in customizer to generate your stl file for printing. Sometimes the customizer does not launch correctly. If this is the case, follow this link: http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer This weave is really difficult to model nicely, so the full AR range may not be functional. Increasing the smoothness value decreases the chance of fusing rings. The AR range that is functional for this script is 2.8-3.1. Smaller ARs are likely to fuse rings together, which could probably be repaired post-printing.
