I've been trying out a pair of snowshoes on extended loan from a friend. They work well, except the bindings rely entirely on tension to keep the straps secure. Unless the straps were pulled super tight and kept taut by the presence of your foot, they could flop around and disengage from the pin that keeps them connected. I could see that all it would take to keep the straps engaged on the pin was something to hold them together when folded back. So, I designed this clip to do the job. (I've since looked at similar snowshoes in the store, and was pleased to see their bindings include very similar clips. I suspect these originally did as well.) Of course this clip isn't snowshoe-specific. I suppose you could use it anywhere you need to hold two straps or thin objects together.I printed six at 0.3 mm layer height with 3 perimeters and no infill or top/bottom layers. The perimeters take up most of the space with the default clip wall thickness, and leaving the interior unfilled helps with springiness of objects like this anyway.
