
My old laptop just wasn't up spec at the turn of the year so I set out to build a low-ish budget desktop and wanted to build the case using printed parts. I ended up settling on a mix between printed brackets and aluminum round. This is where I'm at so far, the computer is up and running in its new home and everything is solid with a bit of wire management needed. I'm happy with the looks but its a bit too big for a mini itx build. No matter though, I'm switching to a micro atx board soon and adding additional graphic processing. Stay tuned for the rebuild. All parts except for the corner and crossbar brackets are scaled to 110% of my original measurements as I was a bit optimistic about my printers accuracy at first and apparently my Y stepper was going bad. I scaled the corner and crossbar brackets to 110% in my slicer before printing. So things aren't as tight as they could be, it makes for easy building but you may have to hold some of the lock nuts during assembly. All brackets use 8mm m3 nuts and bolts except the motherboard mounts that use 20mm m3. If anyone really wants to build one message me for more info.
