IT professionals will appreciate this print. The Ethernet Port Protector Plug (EPPP) lets you reserve/label/protect a port as well as find it easily amongst the 'spaghetti' of other network cables. Protect or reserve an Ethernet (RJ45) socket with this plug. Printed on a Replicator 2 it snaps securely into position like any Ethernet plug. When printed in a bright colour it stands out from the 'spaghetti' so is easy to find, has sufficient length to make it easy to insert/remove but is short enough that it won't stop a server cabinet door from closing. The EPPP also has holes that allow a tag to be attached with cable ties or a rubber band so information / notes can be made for quick and easy reference. If you like this take time to check out my other designs! On a Replicator 2 (PLA) print at standard resolution (0.20mm) with 4 shells and 50% infill with Raft on. The EPPP prints upright so the build plate contact patch is small. For this reason, if adhesion issues are a problem, printing 2-up can help, as this helps each layer cool before the next layer is added, as can reducing the print speed to 60 mm/s and giving the build plate a quick with Isopropyl alcohol. Usually this shouldn't be necessary if the build plate is well levelled and the machine is working well.
