
Designed this padlock as a single part in Solidworks. My intention was to leave enough space between, what will become the moving parts, for the support material to dissolve away leaving the appropriate tolerances for a functioning assembly. The keyhole is a generic slot that can be actuated by any thin rectangular device. It is a quarter turn ccw to open. There are two catches, one at the base of the hoop and one at the top portion, typical of a "Master" style lock. I changed the appearance on the housing for clarity of the inside. I was going to print this out as a school project on the Stratasys but time ran out so I really don't know for sure if it actually works. Hopefully someone here can print one out and verify it becomes a working, fully contained, assembly. If it does work I will explore making a version in the same style but one that is actually keyed. Also have one with an included chain, but didn't want to upload until I can verify the lock works. If it doesn't work please let me know so I can make the appropriate changes. Also to add to the description, this was designed to be used with a support removal tank (like the Stratasys 1200es uses to dissolve the support material) otherwise the support material will be trapped in the assembly.
