This box is design to turn the Raspberry Pi in to a self-contained device in headless mode. Of course the HDMI and USB ports are available so you can connect an external monitor and keyboard/mouse as well. The box is designed to use four external components; an adafruit 1000C USB/Liion charger board, a 3 cell (6600mAH) Liion battery pack, and an sliding SPDT switch, and finally a USB microB connector for powering the Pi. It works with either the B+ or the Pi2 and has room for additional internal circuitry and components. I have included the FreeCAD format files so additional changes can be made if desired.I printed this with the standard High Density mechanical settings on a Polyprinter (great machine!) at the Dallas Makerspace. www.dallasmakerspace.com The base is oriented strangely for a 3D print, so you should place it with the Y-axis up to print properly. I designed the box top to orient properly for a 3D printer. I printed this in ABS with support and a Brim. Expect some cleanup to remove support and brim. The hinge is designed to use a 3mmx45mm phillips head machine screw. The holes for the outer are designed to clear the machine screw (3.5mm), while the hole in the center hinge is designed to have the machine screw thread into in (2.6mm). I also include the ability to use 1/8" x 1/8" super magnets in the corners to hold the box shut.
