I have been playing around with this x230 frame from HobbyKing and it has one major flaw, it has no legs. This will cause a problem, as the quad will routinely tip over and break the props. Maybe an experienced pilot will not have this problem, but that is not me. So enter in this plate. It will allow one to add carbon fiber rods as trainer legs. I have found this is sufficient enough to not make me crash as often. Yes, if dropped from a distance, it will bottom-out. But face it, if your quad is dropping more then a few feet, you have bigger problems, like me flying it.There are two files. v0-8 is my first working print. It is designed to have screw holes to screw onto the bottom plate, or replace it. The holes for the rods are off-center, so you can still access the screws. My issue was that it was slightly off. Feel free to use it and modify as needed. v0-11 is a modified version, which removes the screw holes, and adds in zip-tie loops. This one worked better for my situation. Images show v0-8, which comes out to about 9.5g, printed in PLA at 10% infill. v0-11 comes out to about 15g with PLA, when printed at 20% infill.
