This is a hockey stick pen cap inspired by the other pen cap items on Thingiverse http://www.thingiverse.com/tag:bicUpdate 10/30/2011: After playing hockey on the kitchen counter for a day I decided the kids needed a proper hockey rink to play on. So I built a little play area for them on a piece of scrap wood. I added a picture to show how it turned out.We even developed rules:The neutral zone is a free for all you can hit each other sticks etc.A players stick/hand cannot enter the opposing players zone. (i.e. you can not put your hand past the other players blue line)Official rink size: Width: As wide as the piece of wood you have Length: Long enough to make it look right about rightI used a CNC mill to make aluminum molds and injection molded polypropylene to make this part. I had to use a separate removable insert in the mold to form the hole in the pen cap. No model is provided for the removable insert but the dimensions match the internal dimensions of the pen cap model.I cut the aluminum molds with a 1/16 end mill. The models for the molds do not include the gates for injecting the plastic. I milled the gates in manually after the main section of the mold was made.
