This is a modification of my original hot shoe adapter for lightweight lighting that requires a 5/8" mounting stud. This version now includes threads and a lockdown nut to securely fasten the mount to the camera. Since this item is load bearing and lights attach with a set screw, it is probably best to print as a solid ABS object. To modify this design, it will require Thread_Library.scad located at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8793 and shapes.scad. Print with 100% infill for added strength and to prevent set screws from punching through the wall of the 5/8" pole. Please note that the tolerances on the threads are pretty tight and may require some experimenting to get a lockdown that works properly.
