Full human skull, sliced for 3D printing. I started with a 3D model of the individual bones of the skull, then merged and sliced. It took me a couple tries with slicing to find a way to get it to print with a makerbot, but I think I got it working. There are 3 STL files for the skull, top, middle, bottom. Print them each with the largest flat side down, then glue said pieces together. It has a few small overhangs, but overall prints pretty well. I sliced with netfabb, and I've included the original netfabb files and meshes that I made in case anyone else wants to edit it. One is of the slices, and the other has all the bones labeled. The original skull mode came from BodyParts3D. The BodyParts3D uses a creative commons/share-alike license. For more models, see: http://lifesciencedb.jp/bp3d/?lng=en. **Update 7/19: added a mandible with teeth in a nice, printer-friendly format. Enjoy!Print the bottom and middle files with the largest flat surface down. Then superglue everything together.
