This is a model of a hyperbolic paraboloid x^2-y^2=2z, labeled with its equation. There is a second .stl file showing the surface without the equation. There is a third .stl file with the surface with equation in arial font. This model was designed and printed by my WLU summer research student Emily Jaekle ('16). For more information see http://mathvis.academic.wlu.edu/2015/07/21/quadratic-surfaces-hyperbolic-paraboloid/.We printed this model using the FormLabs Form1+ printer. We printed in black, each layer 0.1mm. The model printed upright, rather than lying on its side as shown in the .stl file. The print was an excellent quality, with only a few supports and a very smooth surface. However, we had some trouble with the number 2 on the equation.
