This is a concept of integrating existing 'real' and existing objects into your 3D prints. Once you let this concept rattle around in your brain for a while ....... the new horizons and possibilities to incorporate other existing objects opens up, eg. the possibilities in jewellery or fashion - WOW! Very quick model to make and a real crowd pleaser to show off the amazing capabilities of your 3D printer. Ask people if they can spot the join!! (which of course they can't because there isn't one :-) See build instructions below. Enjoy :-)The .stl file is Sal's original file with no changes. This is just to demonstrate the concept described above. This concept will work on any 3D print build during various times during the build. During the build process (on this example about 65% complete) - simply hook on the key (or trinket or whatever) of your choice to the partially build chain*, lay it on the build table hooked on the part built chain but away from the path of the extruder's movement and ...... watch the magic! *You should really pause the build for safety reasons whilst you hook on your key - then with fingers clear - un-pause the build. Safety FIRST!
