This is the empty champagne bottle from my Valentines Day gift to a VERY special friend. She asked me to make a lamp from it. I designed the custom base, installed waterproof LED lighting, and filled it with water crystals. It is topped with a Mickey Mouse wine plug from our recent trip to the happiest place on earth. The lights have a timer so they will automatically turn on each night and then off 6 hours later. The lights are 'firefly' lights that I picked up at the local crafts store. The battery pack is concealed within the base. Using a diamond drill bit, I drilled the bottom of the bottle to allow for the wiring, then sealed it with silicone to keep it water tight The beads are the little plastic crystals you can find for use in flower arrangements. I just re-hydrated them before adding them to the bottle. You could use small glass marbles as well.
