This is a USB port protector for the MakerGear M2 / RAMBo controller board. I made this protector to insure the USB port on my RAMBo controller board would not be damaged if the USB cable was to be accidentally pulled sideways. This glue-in-place protector keeps the type "B" USB connector in straight so that the female port on the board is protected from external force. It's a simple fix to protect your expensive RAMBo controller board. Thanks for looking at my contribution to Thingiverse!!!I printed this model using PLA at a 0.25mm resolution and a 3-layer shell with 30% hex infill. Once printed, the protector is glued in place on the M2's controller enclosure using a small amount of Cyanoacrylate glue (Krazy Glue). The USB cable needs to be attached to the printer before gluing the protector in place to insure correct alignment. Once a fit check has been performed you can apply a small bead of glue to the backside of the protector and then hold it against the enclosure around the USB connector until it holds. Try not to use too much glue and keep it off your fingers or you will make a mess!! Good luck ;0)
