This is a mounting bracket for the MakerBot Mk6 Plus Safety Cutoff Switch. The manual says to drill new mounting holes in your Z platform and mount it on the side. I did not want to do this. So I made a bracket for it. It also includes a mounting area for a terminal strip. Currently, the terminal strip mount is configured for a 6 slot terminal strip, which is overkill, my current configuration only uses two slots... but with all the upgrades coming out and the magnetic encoder, I figure it is good to leave room for growth. If you want to adjust it, just edit the included OpenScad file. Print and mount wherever you want to put it. Put a M3 nut in the hex slot if you wish, but it is probably not necessary. I mounted mine, as shown in the images, behind the extruder on the bolt hole closest to the threaded rod. The included Scad file has a dependency, which is a negative space object I created that matches the dimensions of the Safety Cutoff Switch. It is located here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8206.I have also included the file here, because it is tiny in size. The file is by no means required. But if you want to make changes to the mount, it helps alot to use the mock up I did of the cutoff switch for reference.
