Y-carriage to suit standard Mendel Max 1.5 using SCS8UU pellow blocks. Set up for 100mm wide 8mm diameter rails. Includes belt clamps for T2.5 6mm wide belt.Pellow blocks are manufactured bearing blocks and include integral LM8UU bearings.Print it out. Clean out the holes with 4mm drill for the pellow mounts and 3mm for the belt clamps.Cut a piece of 5mm thick aluminium (aluminum) sheet to 230mm square and mark out the carriage mount holes central and square to the edges. You could use a sheet of plywood as well but alloy looks nicer and will never warp. Drill the carriage mounting holes 4.5mm to clear the M4 machine screws and give some room for alignment. You will also need a large central hole in the aluminium plate to let the wiring through, one large 50mm (2") hole will do.Bolt it to a 230mm square piece of 5mm thick aluminium with 8 of 50mm long M4 machine screws (the pellow blocks come tapped to M4). Leave all 8 M4 screws loose and fit the carriage to the Y-axis rails. Slowly tighten all 8 screws a little at a time whilst moving the carriage back an forth to allow it to self-align. Finally tighten all M4 screws and it should move freely, ie with a light push.
