This is an attempt at a motormount for a electric longboard written in openscad. It's ment to be welded to the trucks and hold the motor. A pulley is added to the wheel and motor, and a belt sprung between. I haven't printed this or tried it, so no warranties. New update; There is now a 50mm_outrunner_on_randal_RII.scad file that -seems- to be able to be 3D printed!!! Update 2; after ~15km on that print, it broke exactly over the layer between the flat mount, and the upstanding 'tower' holding the hanger. have that glued now with 2 component acrylic based glue, feels more solid than the print :) have ~10km on that again, and still holding .. Update 3; after another ~250km the motor pulley started wearing out from slipping on maximum break. After replacing it, i couldnt get belt alignment accurate enough (apparently) and after another ~50km the belt started to ride into the motormount at got half way through :D I have given up the idea of a printable motormount for now, as other projects are taking lead. But will come back to this later ;) keep posted! More info; https://nurdspace.nl/RobertLongboardHAVENT TRIED THIS! Open this in openscad, tweak the parameters, press F6, appreciate the beauty of parametric design, click Design > Export as STL, done. Feed this .stl to your favourite CNC operator to mill out of thick aluminium. Feed your truck + the cut aluminium to your favourite welder to join on the right position + orientation. Rejoice!
